In another of those, “Trust us, we’re from the government” moments, Health & Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sibelius assured Americans the new H1N1 vaccine is perfectly safe:
Appearing on morning news shows to step up the Obama administration’s campaign for vaccinations, Sebelius said that “the adverse effects are minimal. … We know it’s safe and secure. … This is definitely is a safe vaccine for people to get.”

When you’re finished with that, consider that the Treasury Department admits it lied Americans into financial ruin, but says it was justified “in light of the unprecedented circumstances in which [the patently false statements] were made.”
Look for swine flu to be another “unprecedented circumstance” justifying Federal lies.
